A new interest of mine lately is pinterest.com. It's something that's been catching on worldwide and now I think it's soon to become big in the Philippines. Just like our fixiation with Facebook and Multiply.

What is pinterest you might ask?

We'll let's start by going to the pinterest home page.

You'll see random pictures of just about anything under the sun. These are called "pins" and they are pinned onto "boards"

Pinterest is a website that lets you "pin" and organize images. The images all link back to the original site, so it's basically like bookmarking things you like. Pinterest works like facebook, multiply, flicker, stumbleupon, etc. combined. It allows you to share to your followers thinks that interest you and let's you group them into categories for easy viewing and you can re. The setup of the board makes for an interesting surf as you won't know what sorts of things you'll encounter as you scroll down the page. Also you can look up boards according to what you are interested in. You can also link your pinterest to your facebook account for an added element of interest to your social networking.

They have it all there, for the foodie, the chef, the d.i.y.-er, the housewife, the bachelor, the artist, the poet, the mom, the bride to be, the fashionista, the avid fan, the teacher. Name it and someone has probably made a board about it already. Why don't you head on over to their site to see what the fuss is about and I'll bet you'll be hooked too.

PINTEREST IS A VIRTUAL PINBOARD.

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started, request an invite

As for me, I enjoy the eye candy the site offers, it's a bit like Google Reader, except it's more picture and less text on your scroll. It's a visual smorgasbord, idea wall, inspiration board, cork board, tutorial site, all in one page. There you go, the soon to be newest craze on the web for the Philippines.
