A few of my favorite things #6 - Chinese Buns Edition

A few of my favorite things #6 - Chinese Buns Edition

Chow Pao Combos Ph 39 & Php 69

1. Chowking Chowpao

First on my list is a fastfood chains twist to the ordinary siopao/cua pao. This burger pao is just right to appease the grumbling tummy pangs during merienda. Pair that with their wanton mami and cold drink - solve ka na!

For just Php180 you can have a siopao party for four.

2. PVL Super Jumbo Siopao

When in Mandaluyong make your way to PVL Restaurant in Lopez St., near Bonifacio Ave. This quaint restaurant houses not just jumbo sized siopao's but the ultimate SUPER JUMBO SIOPAO. As big a a plate or head, if you've seen a Thai Pao before it's size is nowhere near the puny little siopao.
It is really one monster sized siopao! The Super Jumbo Siopao is value for your money when it comes to it's sheer size. This heaping mound of siopao can feed a good 4-6 people or one famished tummy, if you know what I mean. ;)

3. Tikoy Pandesal

While I'm sure this dish could be make with ordinary tikoy but nothing beats the UBE FLAVORED TIKOY of ENG BEE TIN. :D Just buy a round of each and fry up the whole batch, then get a bag of freshly baked pandesal from your local bakery, and viola! Eng Bee Tin's Ube and White Tikoy Stuffed Pandesal - good for breakfast, merienda, or dessert. Best eaten piping hot!

Lai Chia O!

Enjoy!
