2011 is coming to an end. The new year come's like welcome breeze that freshens up the room. It breathes new life to the the past year's adventures and takes away with the stuffiness of its many troublesd, worries, and cares.

These are a Few of My Favorite Things

1. POTATOES
That dirty brown lumpy thing above is the most delightful and versatile root crop our good Lord has created.. well at least for me it is. I just love potatoes! It's a goes great with most everything because it's such an empty canvas. you can fry 'em, stew 'em, boil 'em, bake 'em, mash 'em, casserole 'em, make 'em into flour, it goes great with gravy, ketchup, salt and pepper, and it's even made into art.. its such a useful and tasty thing! 
2. ROASTED EEL/ UNAGI
At first the thought of eating eel was stomach turning. My dad had bought an eel as an addition to our home aquarium before and it was definitely not one of the cutest creatures there. It's a good thing though that I discovered that roasted eel tastes wonderful after having had a taste of it in a Japanese restaurant. Unagi goodness! For ordinary days though canned roasted eel is just as good. It's melt-in-your-mouth sweetly scrumptious and best of all it has none of them pesky fish bones! ^^,

3. NERDS - GRAPE & STRAWBERRY FLAVOR
The grape and strawberry flavored nerds are a kid's best friend. As a kid I've always loved the sweet sour taste of the little yummy creatures, added novelty of the packaging with the candy illustrated as mini martian creatures w/ eyes and capes, plus the thought that you were sending them to their doom into the carvernous pit of your stomach! I'd make sure to take turns in eating flavor first, then I would mix things up and eat them both at the same time. Just the sound of the candy drumming around in the box as you shake the little guys out is a treat in itself.  (Haha, I sound like a kook!)


4. Andes - Chocolate Mint Thins 
My grandpa was the one to introduce me to these delightful delectables. These mint chocolates I find, are a great after dinner treat and as it was not often our grandpa would come over, this was a rare treat at that. The cool of the mint just blends so effortlessly with the creamy milk chocolate. Mmmm..


5. Trolli - Brite Crawlers
I just love the sour tangy taste of these chewy bright worms. They're colors are just so vibrant which makes them fun to eat. I especially love the combination of the red and blue worms. For some reason I imagine it turns to violet or purple when it's mashed inside my mouth as I chew them. :p

6. Pond's - White Beauty Detox
Pond's white beauty cream was recommended to me by my college classmate and I've been hooked ever since. It really works on my skin.  It even works great as a substitute for face powder or foundation. It's small size and many uses makes it a staple in my "kikay" (makeup) kit.



6. Diandra - Perfume

I had found this bottle of perfume by chance at home. I don't really know whos it was or where it was found. When I tried it on I fell in love with it's rich but light aroma it was like a fruit medley, not too sweet which was just right for me. Sad to say I had lost the bottle when I absentmindedly left my "kikay" (makeup) kit at church. It's now gone to meet up with the treasure trove of countless other things I have missplaced or lost. My dilema now is where can I purchase another bottle like it since I don't even know where it's from.. TT

7. So Soft - Wet Wipes

So Soft Wet Wipes Don't have a pic for this yet. These are just great to have around. Use them for wiping tables, for when there no water around to wash your hands, and it's gentle enough to wipe your face with. With it's durable packaging it with stands the extreme conditions of being carried around.

And these are my favorite things for now. :)

bearly awake..

well.. haloo havn't been able to post for the longest time.. i've changed my blog to.. bearly awake.. it's spelled that way cuz someone already has the 'barelyawake' one and now that i think of it 'bear'ly suits me just fine.. just in time for my hibernation period of sleeping and eating!!

haha.. since it's the start of my vacation.. i have decided to not sleep again.. the sun's up!.. and no i wont start singing the nescafe song.. though i'm tempted to.. ;p.. i rearranged the furniture in my room early this morning.. my anti-stress routine.. am glad that there's n work tom!! yippee i can enjoy myself cleaning my room.. ?.. well ok that doesn't seem to be a very exciting to do.. but at least that'll be one thing done that'll be off my mind for the next week or so.. oh well.. too busy.. too tired.. too much too do.. procrastinating and wasting my time.. hehe.. same ol same ol.. there's been talk about a reunion.. burgoo.. rockwell.. hmm.. hope i can go.. though things don't seem to lok promising as there still has to be a lot done.. i think i need a duplicating ray for myself.. like in multiplicity.. i need to be in 6 different places all at once.. wahhh.. un n un.. cge.. it's time for bed now.. so that i'll be awake hopefully before they clear the table at lunch.. need to fatten up this summer!!! hehe kk nyte nyte.. or should i say gud am to all of you!

hmmm.. blog.. this is new in my vocabulary.. a new fad?.. i hope not.. this seems to be interesting enough to stay afloat in the endless sea of the www.. well it's about two in the morning.. i'm still awake.. nothing new.. let me brief you.. i'm an imsomniac.. yes that is what i am.. i stay awake not because i have to.. it's because i want to.. though i know i'm not alone as a night owl.. i've known quite a few who take to the night like it was day.. but i am aware that there might be some health issues i myt have to face in the future.. for now double bags in the eyes seem to be the only set back.. sometimes i think i am able to sleep early because mi keeps telling me that if i keep this up i might get lukemia or something like that.. which i consider for a moment before laughing at the notion.. yet this thought tugs at my brain once in a while and i fear it might come true.. maybe not lukemia.. one can never know.. this leads me to think other thoughts about health.. do radio waves have an affect on our bodies?.. what about the static that computers and televisions produce?.. electricity is very much a part of our lives.. it courses through the walls of our house like veins in our body.. giving us the energy needed to power our appliances.. but are we putting ourselves in harms way by surrounding ourseslves with these machines?.. well that's just the paranoid me speaking out.. though it wouldn't hurt if there was a study that proved or disproved these thoughts.. i could go on and on and on.. but all this talk about health made me think that I should get my 8 winks of sleeps tonight.. i have a busy day ahead of me.. first it's of to ust then to the post after that i'm off to makati to get my reimbursement form cap.. then i will be going to tondo where i will be starting my third lesson in driving.. i pray that the 8 wheeler trucks will stay out of the way.. nyte nyte!.. or should i say.. gud mornin?..
